The Perfect Pedi on a Budget

Did you know that your feet endure about 10,000 steps a day?

Well I was able to find a few easy tips that can help you out with giving yourself a professional-looking pedicure at home for the times you can't always make it to the nail spa.

1. SOAK YOUR FEET in a large bowl or tub of warm water and rub thoroughly with a great exfoliating foot scrub to cleanse and soften rough skin.

2. SHAPE NAILS with the coarse side of a nail file, then smooth with the fine side, or trim with large nail clippers before smoothing. Soak and wash feet again.

3. USING A PUMICE, smooth out any rough patches. Concentrate on heels and balls of the feet, keeping in mind that tough skin is often there for a reason, so be gentle.

4. RUB CUTICLE REMOVER into the base of each nail, then, using an orangewood stick, gently push skin away from nails on all sides.

5. GENTLY TRIM any loose skin with cuticle trimmers. Rinse feet well, and dry.

6. MOISTURIZE with a body butter, cream, or lotion. Make sure to wipe it from the nail area.

7. SEPARATE TOES with a foam toe separator. Apply your favorite nail color, and then your ready to rock your favorite summer shoe!
